Default New to quad

I'm new to the quad game and will be using one to check bear baits this spring...how does everyone carry their rifles?
Of course unloaded but scabbard or rubberized forks? I know it has to be unloaded and some WMUs it has to be encased in the fall but aside from that I've got some old school walnut stocks that i don't want buggered up.

X3 for the Kolpin.
I would go for the 6.0 or the new Stronghold. The IV's lid comes off were the other two the lid hinges open.

Kolpin gun boot.

I have a Cooper walnut stock that I carry in there. The only thing i did different was to tape up (hockey tape) the metal clips on my leather sling, so they don't scratch the stock. The Koplin that I have has a soft case/removable liner inside of it.

Oh me old mossberg rides shotgun (see what I did there?) in my homemade plywood box. I've built a box that can haul either a barrel or garbage bags full of bread and 5 gal pails full of nastiness. That ole shotty sure takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Clean her up after a hard day of dumpster diving and deployment and she's good to go. No Kolpin here, although i would like to purchase those racks for the front for my deer rifle, I just never get around to it. I don't use the quad for deer season....

Did I say walnut stock, I meant nice walnut stock, this won't be happening. Do you guys just strap your gunboot somewhere or use the brackets (more $ than gunboot)

Like this rifle, I won't be strapping this to a bucket of rotten meat

I like the rubber forks on the front, I have had issue with the Kolpin gun boot knocking my scope out and rubbing my stock, however it was an older model, but I would never go back after the damage done and missed a 100 by 20 feet

Own a newer Can-am with LinQ system, use this:

Gun boot rack

Kolpin Gun Boot

Sample picture of how it sits on the Can-am: Sample Pic

With the rack, it can be configured to ride either left or right side, very secure. The Kolpin Gun boot is *almost* 100% waterproof.

EDIT: I should've mentioned that I can install / take off this system in a matter of seconds (literally) and then the quad is 100% stock.
