RV Battery Questions

Hey guys,

I just got my first travel trailer. I need a battery for it, it is a 17' has a microwave and AC. I have a 300w Honda generator to charge it up when at a not serviced site.

Should I get a large battery or two medium sized? Does it matter if Ah is the same between the two?

Have you searched recent posts for your answer? Plenty of good information already exists without asking people to post it all again.

Looked at Costco batteries. Two six volts gets you about 200 amp hours for 300 bucks or you can get one battery that will get you 120-130 amp hours for $140 bucks...

Lots of it comes down to usage.

I have the same 1 12volt on my trailer for the last 6 years, I have a solar panel on the roof and never had it dead battery yet, changed the light bulbs to led. it is all how you use it , if you leave everything on your battery's will die.

we only use the trailer to sleep in and use the fridge for the rest we live out side

I’d go with 2 - T105’s (6 volts).

i run 2 of the larger 12v, i get 4 nights thats 2 showers and about an hour ea night of furnace.now i have a gen set so i dont worry. the 6v will add tongue weight so watch for that.
