T C Moto lures

Thinking of trying Cold Lake the first time with the wife and daughter. I’ve heard that T. C. Moto lures are a good choice. What colors are best? Thank you for the help!

Personally the white and pink chaser tail has worked the best for me so far this year.

They are good lures but the prices are ridiculous due to limited competition.

Make sure to buy extra tube bodies and switch out as necessary instead of replacing the whole thing.

For real thought, these lures were made to attract humans for big bucks.

The fishin hole pushes these lures hard real hard. If you stand in the aisle looking at a T.C. Motto the staff members there ask “OH you’re going to cold lake?”

If i hold a regular box of tubjigs they be asking me “whatcha catching”

Regular buck tails, tube jigs, airplane jigs no longer get pushed

My guess is its because T.C. Moto is a local brand and the owners could also be friends. If I owned a tackle shop i would be pushing my friends lures. Just supporting each other within the local area. just my theory.

TC Moto and the Fishin Hole have the same owner.

TC Moto is a local lure maker who has also been on TFH staff for several years as well. Tfh is owned by some Edm people since the 70's.

Chartreuse TC tube jig with a regular Parker’s minnow was the ticket for me last winter. Iced two keepers with it in as many days, and lots of short ones too. It was sunny and the bite was on that day!

I have yet to catch on the TC meat rig.

I live in cold lake use to use cold lake specials but find there hooks are not the greatest and very limited colour choice. I use T.C. MOTTO lures now the price is nothing if I pay a couple hundred for a rod and reel 800 for an auger why try to save a couple bucks on a substandard lure. I like to use a white and pink or a combo with red in it and then use a T-Bone Rig on an automatic fishermen. the other day the t bone rig netted me a 33" 14 lb Der.

The quality of components in the TC Moto is far superior to the cold lake specials. I have had both in my tackle box and have found consistently that the TC's are a far superior product. Where I have noticed the big difference is when you get into large fish (over 10 pounds) which doesn't happen often in Cold lake, but other places I have fished it does. Yes they are a lot more pricey, that being said, quality things cost money. Not sure if they have tungsten heads out yet but I bet they will soon. The design in general compared to the cold lake specials is far superior. TC makes bucktails to which are generally my go to hook for lakers, eyes and even the small ones were smacking the perch last year down on cascade. They out produced any of the other hooks we were using down there last year.

As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. I'm not going to be buying a LOT of them, but definitely planning on getting one or two for my Kananaskis run next weekend..

You get what you pay for. There are always cheaper alternatives make sure you tie a good knot

TC Moto is way too expensive. Bought my own tube bodies, tube jig weights, stinger hooks, flash material etc. and whipped up my own. It's super easy, cost me maybe $5 a lure to make

You can buy the flash materials at any fishing store in the fly tying section. Flashabou and Krystal flash are some of the more common materials.

x2, cant believe people are paying $15 a jig. Spend $2-$3 for tube jig and jig head and another .50 cents on flashabou in 5 minutes you will have one looking better than a TC moto.

It really is that easy. The jaws on my tying vise were too small, so I had to tie the jig just using my hands. It wasn't that hard. If i knew how to upload pics, i'd do a step-by-step tutorial

I’ve been tying my own in different sizes using whatever I like. Tc Moto is just hot right now because names like the fishing geeks use them. Tbh it’ll be dead in a few years, there is literally nothing special about this product. Having said that, good on the person who created this. For now, people will jump on the #brandwagon and the internet will keep on sucking.

Now add profit for yourself and markup for TFH.

The price is on the high side but not that bad considering they are custom local made lures and not the normal mass produced Chinese lure.

TC Moto always has bought most of his stuff off the shelf at TFH after shift. Nothing special there just the labor and creativity.
