Default Fishing the S.S.R.June12

We hit the South Sask. River today. The morning started out really slow with no fish. But as soon as the sun came out around 12:30PM. the bite was on. No big ones today but we landed 12 and lost 3 right at the boat . Biggest one 34in. Most were the size of the ones in the pictures.

How dare you fish an endangered species. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Nice catch, hope to catch some of those little ones. Finding the bigger ones is easier than the the little ones.

the wild variance in size indicates how healthy the sturgeon population is. they are all accounted for from wee little dudes to great big buggers. congrats on the good day fishing.

We fished only 15ft. from shore. So it only took 5oz. to hold it behind the boat. The water is really rippin in some spots of the river.Jacenbeers did you make it to the forks.A buddy was down there Sat. and said there were 14 rods in the water all midday with only 1 sturgeon caught.
