Default Coyote fur handleing

Hello,

I have just shot 3 coyotes and want to make sure I deal with them properly. I have skined them and now need to flesh them. What is the best way to flesh them? should I flesh them before or after washing? do I need to slpit the lips and how should I deal with the nose/ear cartilage?

I really appreciate the advice!

Thanks

Ryan

Did you make sure they didn't have fleas?

If you find a fence post of the right diameter they make an excellent fleshing beam. They are already pointed and you just have to smooth them out a little. I generally flesh mine then wash but it work's either way. I don't split lip's and I take as much cartilage out as I'm going to when skinning. Pin the ear's ahead when stretching.
