Default Headed to white tail lake BC for dad's day

Where can/should I camp? I asume that it will be busy. Reservations? What will be hot? Are the flying ants hapening yet?

For chronomids use a red with black rib or a green with black rib and black bead head. For leech patterns use a green or black wooly worm in size 10 or 8. I have also had good luck there with dragonfly nymph patterns like a goomphus.

Have a great time over there. Your going at a great time the lake is fishing well right now.

Don't know about the camping though.

you can camp there. i cant remember if there was a campground. it is either random camping(crown land). or there could have been a smaller self registering campground would be $14 per night. i was just there over the weekend. we went to soo many lakes i cant remember which ones had the self registering campground or crown. But you can camp there for sure.

Camping at Whitetail is somewhat dependant on when u get there, and if the Spokane club has a lot of people up there or not. Best time to get there is Sunday around noon. I have always been able to get a spot, but a couple of times it was the only one left. This wk should be a good time to go, hopefully there should be some damsels coming off and the caddis should be happening.
There are two campgrounds on the lake, pot luck which one you wind up in.
For myself, I like the little one. It can be a fantastic place to fish, and it can be a tough place to fish. And I love hearing the screams from those who were not holding on to their rods.
