Boating the Athabasca near Slave Lake

I'm wanting to do some fishing/boating on the Athabsaca river near Slave Lake. I'm wondering if anybody knows of some camping spots that are right on the shores of the river? I just dry camp so not necessarily looking for an actual campground, just a place to park. I've heard a small boat can be put in at both Chisholm and Smith? Thanks
