Default confusing buck fight behavior!?

This one has me stumped and I'm curious to more perspectives on why this young buck just keeps pushing and pushing..?

I is instinctive for them to eliminate any competition for females. Just as if there was only one women in the pub, if you want her and you think you can beat all the other guys there then you will be swinging your fists.

Wouldn't it have been much funnier if at the moment the winner starts his victory strut away, the hunter dropped him?

Great footage
Thanks for posting.

Because that's how it is out in the wild. Despite the fact that many think it's a Walt Disney world out there, it isn't. Nature is cruel, very cruel. They are animals they will fight until one runs away, if it's injured so bad it can't run away the other may still perceives it as a threat and will keep going until the other is down and out and not deemed a threat. These are animals fighting, there is no referee or police man with a whistle to stop and call the fight off. Looked like it had a dislocated hip and several antler penetration wounds in its chest, probably never made the night.

Welcome to the wild side. Winner takes all. Don't try to out guess nature, nature has it's own set of rules.

Can't tap out in nature until it's settled or one is finished.

I once witnessed two locked WT bucks fight and get away from my sight line one hunting season... I returned to the same spot the next day and 1.5 of them returned, still locked but one had died and the back half was eaten by coyotes through the night. That would have been wild footage.

Austin, very interesting story. Would've been cool to witness.
Unusual footage for sure. Older buck injured or cwd? (stirring the pot)
CB, shooting the victor would feel like some sort of vigilante justice. Video narration: "Pride comes before the fall... boom"
