Smile Coral Lake

Hello
I am new to this forum but I have been reading and enjoying the posts put on here for some time now.I am wondering if someone would know which lake Coral Lake is exactly, when I look at maps there are a few lakes in that area but none are specific as to which one it is.
Thanks Clint

hmm i think coral lake ould be your best bet but michele if you can locate it.
bring nothing bigger then size 16 drys.from what i read about them.im also gonna be catrching a few this year too

the one that says coral will be the lake the holds the goldens.
lots of smaller potholes that may hold a small population from earler stocking though.

none of the lakes that hold Goldens can you drive to. they are all back country lakes that you have to hike into, quad or rent a chopper to get to.

by what i hear the easieist one to get to hiking is probably Barnaby lake. Coral lake is suppose to be quite a challenging hike to get into and long.

there was a chopper outfit out of Nordegg or area that used to fly people into one of the lakes up there for a reasonable fee, but not sure if they still so or not. maybe someone else has info on this.

Yes I know you have to hike in or fly,all I am asking is if anyone knows which lake it is exactly nothing else you either know or don't.Like I said some maps have different lakes in the area named Coral Lake.
Thanks

Here:

Fair warning...it is about 6-8 hour hike in, with 9 creek-crossings.

Go buy the Canadian Rockies Backroad Mapbook. Best $25 you'll ever spend.

Wow 9 creek (more like rivers right now) crossings? Geez that could slow you down a bit..

Has anyone done the Michele hike? I hear the trail is tough to follow but well worth your time!

Coral is a long two day hike up the cline I have rented a chopper out of david thompson resort to go in there. they fly into michelle as well or you can hike in up owens creek tough hike and not for the faint of heart.. michelle has a 900 foot waterfall and huge cirque when you get into it. very very finicky trout and do not expect any thing bigger than 12 inches. chopper is about $ 650 return best if you can get four people.. another option in that area for great cutts is landslide lake.
