Default Fishing the Forks June 18

Hit the forks today for a couple of hours. Slow fishing until we hooked into a 52iner. Got some good video of it jumping right out of the water. Will post on utube. Only caught 1 other 32in and 1 sucker. Not sure what happened to the still photos of the big one.But got some good shots of the road going across to the island. One shot is looking west at the little hill you come down to cross the chanel. the other is looking towards the island. We were in 3.6 ft of water right in the middle of the road.

Yes we were at the Grand Forks where the Oldman & Bow come together to make the South Sask. River. We launched there but caught the fish just up in the Oldman. And they were sturgeon.

There is a drift of mud going across the road as soon as you go down the little hill. There are a couple of more spots that drift in with mud that will be under water still. It will be some time before you will be able to drive across safely. That river mud takes a long time to dry out.
