I can't remember which name I got - it was the more expensive one. I checked the list of lakes on one (the Gold I think) but it only had about 5 Alberta lakes on it. I think it was the Premium that I got but when you look at the list of lakes it covers just about everything in Alberta. It costs about $40 more if I remember correctly.

Check the Navionics site and see what you need. You can't return them if you install it then find out your lake isn't on it.

If you can't find out the details PM me and I will dig out the info on mine.

You have in this order:
Hot Maps Regular : not a lot of selection Alberta lakes basic mapping
Hot Maps Premium : full selection of Alberta lakes and better quality maps plus some other cool features (this is the best choice for fisherman in Western Canada)
Hot Maps Platinum : everything that premium has plus satellitte imagery 3D maps as well (not really required IMO)

Just make sure you get the version for Canada. I have seen some of the states versions here in Canadian stores.

Otherwise check out www.navionics.com

Hope this helps!

I was looking for the maps myself and you have it spot on!

Just bare in mind that the Platinum maps are useless to anyone in AB, BC and Sask. No 3d maps for western Canada and very few for the east.

Cabelas has last years chip (in the bargen cave) for $97.99, was going to get that one because when I looked at its lake list it it had all the lakes that I usually fish and a few more I wanted to.
