Trailer crestliner 1850

Question for you guys. Where is the best place to buy a trailer for a boat. Looking for a bunk style tandem axle for a crestliner 1850. We bought the boat used but the trailer is in rough shape.

Riverside Honda in St.Albert is a preferred ShoreLand'r dealer. They are premium trailers with many choices you can order.

Some great features, not found on most trailers as standard equipment are sealed hubs, LED submersible lights, etc.. are standard.

The options for double bunks, galvanised, or heavier axles are worth considering if you tow a lot over distances like I do.

I use WPM - Edmonton for my boating needs. They sell Karavan trailers and I'm really impressed with my trailer. Break away tongue, LED lights, Bunks and pretty heavy duty overall.

Freespirit Marine in Edmonton. Crestliner dealer so will have exactly what you need. Very competitive on pricing and good to deal with.

My Crestliner rides on a Crestliner branded trailer which has served me very well now for 9 years over some long hauls and not the smoothest of roads.

Led submersible lights, bunks, guides and a spare tire that is standard and not an option like some places plus can get painted or galvanized.

Kijiji and facebook forums. There are amazing deals, I would bypass the stealerships if possible.
If I was going to get a new trailer I would head to the States. The savings would pay fuel, food, several nights in a hotel, and still have cash in the jeans.

The other really awesome feature I forgot to mention is (my Shoreland'r has it as standard equipment) is the retractile straps.

Really awesome and convenient.

The other thing I have seen on all the Lunds - is they use a total of 4 full length 2 x 6 bunks to support the boat whereas many less expensive trailers use only 2 bunks or even, in some cases a dinky little 2x4 bunk.

A well supported boat and a solid trailer is a must in my opinion.

I know the bunks are better for your boat, but I love my rollers. I have helped a few folks trying to unload their bunk trailers where we have had the whole truck in the lake trying to get the boat off, whereas I could unload my bigger boat with the rear tires of the truck barely in the water. I think the perfect trailer would be one with bunks, and a set of rollers that lift the boat off the bunks for unloading, or a set of bunks that rise up to support the boat after it is loaded.
