i would guess its a bit mucky based on the current and past streamflow rates of willow creek for the last week or so, but could be wrong. those fish will bite in anything, velveta cheese

Was out 2 weekends ago and the water was fairly clear...but LOW! And the fish were biting but not nearly like last year. Caught my first bull trout though. With the recent rain it should be higher, but murky like said above...

Doing some road maintenance in that area. Is there any decent fishing from shore, or does one pretty much need a boat on Chain? What's in it for fish?

I was out there yesterday. For the record I dont think the water is ever that clear there but it definately wasnt mucky.

I caught about 15 trout using nymphs and chronomids..they really loved this tinsel hares ear I designed. I fished all along the side where the boat launch and rocks are. I hear people also are having luck on corn and I seen to young fellows land a whole bunch really quickly on a small silver spinner/spoon.

If you know how to catch trout you will probably tear it up.
Cheers

Thanks! My kids want to take me fishing for Father's day, not sure where yet. I was working for a week as contractor to MD of Ranchland so I got to scope out some nice spots and talk to locals.
