20 year drought in East- central (east of Edm) continues. Lack of snow cover and widely fluctuating temps very hard on many plant species. Hope God’s Country moves north.

This used to be God's country up until 2015, when our two senior levels of government changed hands.

Changed the weather? Our area started drying up after ‘98, guess whoever was in power at the time was to blame. Can’t do anything about the drought, but you can about the politics. Gloating about the weather is good, whining is lame ...same in politics.

I have been a member of trial seekes snowmobile club for quite a few years (Near Seba Beach). Last year was the first year the trails never even opened and they have not yet opened this year. I wish we would get some snow

Ironically, the start of last season was when my wife, 2 kids and myself finally each got our own snowmobile. All 4 have sat in the garage since.

Did I say I wish we would get some snow

First pic in my last post is Coulee's at Blue River. Second pic is good old Clemina (Closer to Valemount). We got pretty lucky, arrived Feb 7 and it had snowed for days. Rode 8, 9 and 10 and it was mostly clear. Coulee's we were first in and about 3' of fresh snow. Too much for us old farts, spent a lot of the day digging and riding guys sleds out .....

Pretty good trip tho.

Well had an interesting drive from Twin butte to Lethbridge, +1 blowin like heck, cars in ditches le, and ems flat out highway 3 pincher to the pass shut down, highway 23 north of 3 shut down, pretty much sheer ice 1/3 of the way, a real rodeo, oh and the hazard light Natzis were in full force, what does that mean anyway? Does it mean, are they are hazards? Anyway, not the most ideal driving conditons, would not recomend if it can be avoided.
