I found long pike (75cm+) at Lac La Biche this year but noticed that they also seemed rather skinny for their length

Yeah too bad on the skinny pike at lac la biche. There used to be some nice fish and now thinning out with the walleye population. At least the First Nations have netted a pile of walleye out of there so it might help a bit and now with the tags may also help drop population and fatten fish up more.
