I do have a question about these. When using them do you place them in the water after you place a trout in it?

Lined with wet/damp moss or grass,leaves. Keeps the fish fresh while wading.

John, are you trying to sell that old picnic basket you got for Christmas?

Just kidding, but honestly, I wouldn't want to haul that around all day while fishing. Looks neat though.

Used to use them when we used to meat fish trout back east decades ago. You use a strap and put it around your neck so your not really carrying it, your hands are free. You can store lots of gear, lunch, thermos etc and if set at the right height they make a great arm rest. We used to lay a good layer of moss on the bottom and soak it in water periodically to keep your drinks, fish, lunch cool by evaporation. They serve as a handy portable cooler.
