Default Mule Deer Mount

Seems like we are really short on pictures these days. Here is a great mule deer buck I just finished mounting. Enjoy.

Great work, that’s a really cool buck with the extra character. Was that an Alberta or Sask Mulie?

let me first say I think its an awesome mount. my next comment isn't meant to be rude but just my observation that means little to anybody else but me I guess, but maybe too much clay on the anterior portion of the eyes? one looks built up more than the other, but you still get a great look. just a slight variation? Maybe needs a trough to capture the pre-orbital gland transition a bit more? Could be just the picture angles. once again, not being a chump, just being inquisitive?

No worries. I see what your getting at. Partly the angle of the photo.i use almost no clay in the anterior eye. Thats the shape of the form coming through. Might need to alter it a bit next time. Do you do taxidermy??

no, just a critic. like I said I think you captured the majestic mule deer pose. I love the form. I just thought there was a variation in the eye shape which through me off but I know taking pics of mounts can portray different things than what really is happening.
