I guess gas in Edmonton is at 132.9 and I think Costco gas is at 112.1 or something like that. But that would be why.

Huh!!!
I've been driving this morning (up till 10 minutes ago) and prices are on average $1.15 at any station I've seen (Petro-Can, Shell, Safeway).
Premium might be $1.32 but not regular.

Sorry,

Hard to read the cell phone in the sun when I sent the initial message. SS Edmonton. Yes, price everywhere else jumped big time.

CP is going on strike so no rail delivery of petroleum products. Should not effect Edmonton, gas is made here. But it is causing a crowd I have never seen before at the gas bar at Costco.

Just came back from Edmonton west Costco. Huge line up, regular is 1,12 and premium is $1.25. Every other gas station that I passed on the way was sitting at $1.32 for the regular.

Yeah I’m not sure but it’s been confirmed now, I’m in camp working so I’m curious where gas will be in Fort McMurray when I drive home next Thursday.

Can't say I blame people for trying to get a good price. Just filled a jerry can of premium for my father. $40 for 25L. Good lord.

Heard on Ched today gas was going up.

Lucky I summerized the sleds on the Sunday, both sled jerry cans and what i siphoned from the 3 sleds filled my Fusion up to the top and still had some left over for the lawn mower gas jug . Still hasn't moved off the full mark.

Maybe I will get lucky and the price will drop back down before it's fill up time. Sure don't miss my SUV in times like this.

Time to get the conversion kit for the car.

It's coming. Gas will probably go to 1.50 a liter 2 days before the May long weekend. It is getting ridiculous how industry takes advantage of the gullible albertans and canadians.

How can any sane individual vote for Trutard or that slag Notley when they impose a carbon tax on us and make lives more financially difficult for working people.

These people should be lashed to a wheel and whipped.

It just sucks when the greed is so powerful that an entire country cannot manage to shake things up and get a stop to all this over pricing/gouging/stealing...we are all so small that they do not care about our wallet being empty...there are always those who will pay and that's a given.

I think the prices are high right now because they’re trying to find the highest happy medium of gas prices vs us still living our normal lives. If they go to high lots of folks won’t travel and cut out the extras and they will be forced to lower it. It’s going to be an expensive summer!

Was up to $1.33 on my way home from work in Lethbridge, managed to find some for $1.24. Funny thing is we went through Great Falls Montana on Saturday and gas was 2.59 a gallon. That's 68 CENTS A LITRE!!!!!! 89cents with exchange!

We weren't paying this back in December/January when oil was at this price.

Sorry. No gouging except for carbon taxes. Price is what it is. Not a huge margin business. Most gas stations make money in convenience store sales.

There are zero companies making unreasonable rates of return.

Shop where the price is cheapest.

Funny thing is my Dad had a Texaco gas station from 1961 to 1978 as an independent. We had the highest gas prices in YEG. We'd make a nickel on 1 gallon of gas. Then it went to litres and owners were saying they couldn;t make it on 5 cents per litre ... Old proverb says--Sum-ting-wong here

Not sure your point. Inflation has everything going up over time. How much was gas a litre when you were getting $0.05/gallon?
