Default Super deal at walmart on ammo!!

Was just in spruce grove Walmart and all federal blue box ammo was marked down to $15 all calibers. There was lots of 270,308,30/30, 30/06! I filled up my cabinet!!😆

Are they discontinuing to sell it? Or is it all old stock? Not bad pricing. However, the last animal I shot with blue box ammo, the bullet lost 40 grains of shrapnel throughout the meat. No more hunting with that ammo for me after that. Now I hand load my ammo. It Would be nice to buy a few boxes to play around with at the range, and get some more brass though!!

They were stocked right up on it. More than I have seen there ever. I shot a moose 2 years ago with this ammo in .300 wsm and it perforned very well.

I know people who have good results with them on deer in 243 and 3006. Myself the 117 gr in 2506 were not good

Good to know. Too bed Federal Brass is so soft it is hardly worth using. Would be nice if they had some Winchester or Rem ammo on deep discount. It amazes me that one can now buy loaded ammo for the same price or less than bagged new brass.

My local has stopped selling it after their latest remodel.

As for the Federal brass, I have had better luck, accuracy wise, with it than I have with the Winchester or Remington brass. It may be softer and get less firings from it but that's only part of the equation to me. Most of mine started life as factory ammo anyway.

Went into Shawnessy WMart couple of days ago to check for any .22 cal deals.
They told me they were no longer handling ammo.
Maybe a trend to start. Better stock up.

Get your tinfoil hat ready,
I listened to a podcast about the ammo restrictions in California and they were stating that WalMart will pull ammo off of the shelves in the continent because the don't have the licensing in place sell in California which is their largest market....

I don't know what to think about it but time will tell

I have Fed blue box .243 brass that I full length sized and reloaded 7 times no problem. Not sure how good it is, but it does work. Calgary 130 ave Walmart is pretty skinny on ammo now.

The Olds WalMart had the same sale about 2 months ago, it went very fast and it looks like no more ammo at all.

I shot a moose with blue box wsm as well. Worked well

A couple of my hunting partners, the blue box is all they ever use. No complaints.

This is the one closest to me. They pulled it out on the remodel a couple of months ago.

Walmart pulling out of ammo sales would not surprise me. The frenetic buying in the States has abated and amount of training they have to provide associates to be in compliance add up to not enough profit to be worth the aggravation.

IF they dump guns and ammo in the States they will for sure here. To be honest, I never go in Walmart and have never bought ammo there so I really won't miss them except for they probably do help hold a cap on the price of more common ammo.

Tried the 7mm rem mag in 150 gr once for 2 shots.
Pretty hard to open my bolt both times.

Picked up a bunch of .30-06 today. 2 boxes of Fed blue box 150grain, 2 boxes of Fed blue box 180 grain, 2 boxes of Rem Core-Lokt 180 grain, all were $15 each.

Also got a brick of Winchester Wildcat for $15. Most Winchester ammo was not on sale.

Thanks for the heads up! I needed new brass anyway and this was cheaper than buying brass alone.

Clareview Walmart had some priced at 15 other were 20. There were 6 cop cars with lights on in the parking lot and they had someone boxed in. Maybe they charge more for the show.
