Default Burbot Madness

Hi everybody!
Haven't posted for awhile.
Just a TBT to the great day at Lac Sante, couple of weeks ago.
Me and my buddy got there around 2 PM, and we had our limit caught by 430 PM. What an action, I must say. And some tasty healthy fish too.

Here is the video of that amazing day

As well as couple pics

Thank you for watching!

Just a guess but you probably will not hear much until closer to the spawn. It can be a tough lake in January and for a good part of Feb. At least from my experience.

No, not yet. Gonna check it out soon though.
I am sure you could catch them all the times there, not so crazy as they spawn, of course. But we were there in October and caught one from shore, probably would get more, but had to go back to Edmonton. It was around 5 PM when it bit.

Yeah, I think it's still a bit early, but I'm sure that lake will be hot pretty soon! Gonna go there in two weeks I think...
Hold on fish and chips!

Remember, that the one which we caught during the summer took the bait on my rod... Those slimy rascals are all mine! I marked the honey hole on my GPS too...

I haven't targeted burbs in awhile. That's gotta change.

Just a jig with a minnow, bounce of the bottom, strike right away!
That's when they spawn though...

Yup. In March it'll be crazy busy there. Has been the last few years since the word got out.
Average size of fish are pretty small now compared to what it used to be.
