Default Barbed or Barbless

I keep hearing conflicting numbers about who wants or does not want barbless hooks reinstated. I have created a one question survey to help answer this question. Please take a second and let me know which you want to see happen. I will post results later
Thanks

i like the choice personally. there are lots of times i use barbs (like for whitefish) when i don't entend to throw em back for the most part, but at the same time i use barbless about 100% for catch and release

my $0.02

I'd rather they have a circle hook + barbed law, and a regular hook + barbless law.

Started fishing with circle hooks on the river a year ago, almost always a perfect hook on the lips every time. Why not go barbed for that.

For regular hooks that the wally's swallow and get stuck in their gut? Yes, barbless please!

Hope you are a very young fella.

Cuz by the time its back as law you would be very old and may not be able to dance.

Let us just say, my finger is on the pulse of the nation so to speak and the barbless regulation will be back sooner than some want to admit. So as they say, suck it up princess!

I'm young and can't Dance but I hope they bringer back, watched a guy today try and pry a barbed hook out of a walleys mouth, dropped it and went back to work on it mauling it in his lap before he yanked it's throught out what a bloody emberesement and a catch and release lake as well, barbless all the way land more fish now the when it was barbed because it taught me to become a better fisherman and not so sloppy and yank em in like a bloody hack

I voted

YES

mostly just because huntsfurfish voted NO......

We won't get into a debate as to why barbless is better for the fishery, but there are many threads on this topic in the forum.

Bringing back the law wouldn't bother me one bit ......

Voted no. Should be left as a personal choice, not as requirement.

Barbless all the way!!! I like it better because the feeling of landing more fish then the ones using barbed hooks is awsome lol, and also im a catch and release guy 99% of the time so the ability to just give the right kinda flick while the fish is still in the water and have it swim off without having to pick it up and handle it is a bonus (unless its a beauty then a picture is needed lol) Its never affected my landing percentage, just affected the excitment level to go up lol

I was fishing barbless long before it became law
Much safer with the kids when they were learning and. Got hooked a few times with fish suddenly flopping around as well.
No sweat getting a barbless hook out!

X2. I don't feel the need to have a barb on a hook anymore, wish someone had taught me that as a kid.

This is the same nation that figures further restrictions on firearms will decrease crime, right? The nation that decides issues based on emotion and rhetoric rather than science.
