Thumbs up best police experience of my life.......

I was fishing at one of my nsr spots and an unmarked police car pulls up gets out checks our fishing licenses and runs the other guys plates, then mine turns out I had a 4 year old traffic warrant. He procedes to "arrest" me and says "you can keep fishing if you want I doubt your heading anywhere". Then I hooked into 2 fish while waiting for a PTA. The officer was more interrested in my catch than anything else. Came out to have a look. Tuen finally finishes my PTA and sits there watchin me and the other fellow fish for a bit. What a nice guy I wish there more chilled out cops like this guy it was obviouspy no big deal and he treated it that way. kudos my man

Promise to appear. Its a nifty piece of paper they can give you if its not a serious offence so they dont have to lug u to the office.

If it's not too personal a question, how did the warrant come about in the first place? Feel free to tell me to bugger off if you like!

I'm a newcomer to these here parts, so I'm still learning my way around the law basics

That blows! I thought this kind of thing surfaced each year when you reregister your vehicle? Or is that just for speeding tickets?

I wonder if there's a warrant out for me now
