Default Any news about obed being closed to fishing?

A friend of mine told me that due to a spill obed and some rivers and streams are closed. Is this true??

Obed Lake is open ..Sean

Obed Lake (11-53-22-W5) – Open all year – Trout limit 5; Perch limit 15.

Obed mine spill is on the north side of the Athabasca River and Obed Lake is on south side of Athabasca river

just Apetowun and Plante Creek and downstream in Athabasca u can't keep anything

ES3 Lake and Stream Listings

Apetowun Creek
June 16 to Oct. 31 – Trout; Arctic Grayling and Mountain Whitefish limit 0; Bait Ban.
Nov. 1 to June 15 – CLOSED

Athabasca River
upstream of Sec. Rd. 658 (near Whitecourt) to Jasper National Park Boundary – mainstem river (including Brule Lake) only.
Apr. 1 to Oct. 31 – All species - 0 limit; Bait Ban.
Nov. 1 to Mar. 31 – CLOSED
downstream of Sec. Rd. 658 – see Fish Management Zone 3, Watershed Unit NB2.
