Default Keho

Hey folks,
I'm thinking about heading out to Keho tomorrow to give it a shot for pike. Haven't tried it before. Will be fishing from a power boat for the most part. Any suggestions as to what area of the lake to explore first? Not looking for secret spots or anything. Just a general idea. Don't want to drive that far to get skunked. lol

From the launch pretty well anywhere is good. Try the west side heading up towards the inlet. If that is not hot then the island just to the right of the launch. Be prepared for some nice walleye but check the regs. One walleye 55cm one pike 63-70cm. So the big girls have to go back.

Watch out especially for the wind.

Good luck

Thanks Troller. We are catch/release only anyway. Appreciate the tips.

So...weather couldn't have been better for floating, boating, and tanning; which, in my world means....no fish. LOL. Flat calm. Managed to land a couple but nothing more. All in all a good day though!

How is the boat launch at Keho? Is there a dock?

No there is a very steep imbankment that is heavily covered in large rocks almost like boulders that you have to navigate after the boat is launched or get out of the boat to fetch the truck. Be very careful on the rocks.

Not the best launch for sure.
