Ice fishing near grande prairie?

Hi all.

I just moved to GP and Im looking for good spot for ice fishing. The weather isnt cold enough, but I want to prepare now.

Any suggestions?

Very minimal fishing spots around.

Sturgeon, snipe, Swan, spring.

What type of fish? Lesser Slave is a bit of a drive, but worth doing a trip or two throughout the year. About 2 1/2 hours to the Hilliard bay launch.
