While some may think there might be room for improvement I would say that the wildlife management in Alberta is ever evolving. The game laws have been around and "improving" for over a hundred years.
First was the game management era. From 1906 to 1970
Second was the wildlife management era. From 1970 to 1980
The third is the wildlife sustainability era. From 1980 to present.
I suggest anyone interested in the evolution of wildlife laws in Canada read chapter 6.1 in this document . It talks about Alberta's game laws since 1906. Chapter 5 explains the three eras or stages.
