Well, maybe, just maybe, this will help me understand and therefore enable me to move on, from the utter lack of respect I have for certain departments within the ESRD. I will make it clear from the get/go that the Fish and Wildlife Dept. is NOT one of them.
It is now evident, after reading the OP, why those in charge of the Slave Lake fire, made it into the SNAFU, that they did.
After trying to try to disect what it is the wildlife specialist has to do (good luck), I now believe those at Slave Lake that fateful day...are still reading their job description, some two years later..
One thing NOW highlited in their job description., is that they now have to have, available to them on short notice, a third arm, so they will have TWO available to cover their azzz....

They forgot to mention all the over time you don't get paid for, should work out to about $12.00 an hour. FS
