Default 2013 Calgary Archers Traditional 3D. April 20th - 21st

Up till Friday April 12th 95% of the snow had melted, leaving the occasional patch in the heaviest wooded areas. yeaaaa... HOWEVER,, There has been approx. 2"-3" of fresh snow just this weekend and another 1/2" is expected tonight and tomorrow.
The good news is, if the weather report can be believed temps should reach +6 - +8 by Friday so most of the accumulated snow should have melted... yeaaaa. The bad news, the range is going to wet and sloppy for the weekend so rubber boots(or an air boat.. LOL) will be needed,, OOH! and there is the potential for rain showers on sunday afternoon..
So all in all just another April traditional shoot at the Calgary Archery Range...

For Club members: We need volunteers to come out Friday afternoon/evening to do target setup...

Will update this post as required....

I load my rubber boots befor my bow when going. As long as Rudy's cooking steaks it'll all be good.

See you there Leroy. We are coming down with a few demo bows to try out. Hopefully the newest lot will be at the Post office in the morning before we leave. I will have the Blackfoot with me for sure, and possibly a Black Kiowa too.

It'll be great to see the bows. Dennis is bringing my new one. Looking for another for a freind. He's looking for a bow for NALS. Hopefully there is a good turnout. A bad day shooting is still better than a good day of work.

The good part about the snow is.... Christmas is here. Well it feels like Christmas. Just came from the post office, and picked up 4 new bows,1 regular Kiowa, 1 Kiowa made in all black, with a Phenolic riser, 1 Big Bear 3pc recurve, and 1 Horsebow. and a 54 cal TC Hawken Muzzle Loader.
