I was wondering if anyone has any strategies for fishing sylvan. For me anyway it has really slowed down. Thanks

Drop worms and minnows in and around the 'DEEP' pockets of weeds and you'll catch some decent fish. Pull some HUGE cranks... and I mean the BIGGEST you have in your box and you may just come up with one of those MONSTER Gators that are swimming in there.... Also, TONS of WHITEFISH in that lake ! I can't remember the last time I'd seen so many of them.... It's no wonder that lake has such HUGE pike.

Also, I find that pulling anything with White and/or White and Purple, White / Orange, etc seems to work really well... If all else fails, try bottom bouncing around 8' and out to about 15' of water and back again (simple 'S' pattern) with a 6 - 10' lead and a Floating Chartreuse / Green Jig, preferably of the 'spinner type'.

From the Marina up along the West Side and into 'Half-Moon' bay is a great place to locate fish. I've seen 'things' in that bay....

Good Luck,

/FC...
