Default Registering cougar

Does anyone know if the hunter who killed a cougar HAS to be there in person? My son got his cat last Friday and i think tomorrow is the first day i can register it. My shop is right around the corner from the fish cops office in Calgary, so I’d like to take it in first thing in the morning before work. I live in Airdrie, so it would be a pain in the ass to have to drive in with the cougar and my son, register it, then drive back in to essentially the same place to go to work. I was with him when he killed it, so know all the details about location, time, sex, etc. He’s written up a bill of lading similar to if he was gifting meat from a deer kill - i just don’t know if that’s good enough. Anyone able to help me with the info?

Depends on the officer. But more then likely he will have to be there.
