Default Well....

Well it was an interesting day Friday. Just for fun I made a few elk calls and well I didn't think there was any elk out there anyways....but I thought I heard the mews of a cow elk off in the distance.

Then at 3:30 pm three deer come racing into the oil site at high speeds chasing each other all over the site, which was 100yds x100yds x100yds x100yds sq. For 20 mins they kept that up...even ran fast threw the bush like that then back out. The buck chased one doe to within 25yards of my stand but as she flew by she looked like a blur. Then it stopped and the two does walked to the far side of the site and never did come back. Anyhow I have some pictures but first I must crop them.

Oh and today while in 334 (Leduc Fish and game land) I was busted by a doe...she saw me(looked up) For 45 mins I waited for 1 of the four does to get close enough to my stand, and she was the one who got closer. All she had to do is come in about 10 more yards and then off my arrow would have gone. No I was busted instead.

The doe next to the white container is running in this picture. The other deer is the buck, the buck and a doe together and a chickade.

Yea it was a fun day. Sorry I couldn't take pictures of yesterdays deer but they were too close and the sound of taking the camera out of a plactic bag(so it wouldn't get wet) may have spooked them early.

Two more days out with my bow(next Friday & Saturday)....then comes rifle season. I will have a 3-day hunt from Sept. 20-22......first I'll try and fill my antlerless WT sup. tags, then begin a hunt for a muly buck in 340 or bow hunt for a Mulie buck or Mulie doe in 337. I need to bow hunt a mulie doe out in 332 for which I have a undersubcribe Licence for. Then I have a five day hunt in Oct.

IF ALL GOES ACCORRDING TO PLAN.

This all depends where in 337 you hunt.....337 is a good size WMU and I have
not even began to hunt it. Anyhow where I hunt 337 I don't see alot of mulies. If you ever find it in your heard to tell me.....will please send a pm or an e-mail.
