I can see I need to take more photos of my hunting, fishing ext.
I took so few photos this year that most of my year wasn't recorded on camera. But I did take a few shots over the summer and into early fall.

I started the year taking pictures of whatever wild things I could find as I waited for fishing season to start. Open water, No lakes close.

Fishing started June first, when the local fishing hole opened for the season.
Fishing was good but I didn't take any photos of the fish I caught, however, while fishing, some friends came along and I did take some photos of them.

York Boat heading north.

It was good to meet up with friends I made last year.

My friends Jack and Theresa help set up the tent for an three day break from the river.

Two new crew members fix supper while the others unload the boat and set up the tent.

My next adventure was a trip to Prince Rupert to try salt water fishing for the first time in my life.

The Codfather11 returns from a day at sea. This is my BILs boat. He was our guide and captain for the trip

For me the most interesting part of the fishing was the incredible variety we could catch, like these Dungeness Crabs

or these Tiger Prawn

We did catch some fish too, but the weather was nasty so I didn't get many photos of them. I did snap this shot of a Rock Fish I caught.

The rest of the summer passed without me taking any photos of my outdoors activities other then to photograph the wildlife I saw, like this cow Moose and her calf trying to escape the hords of flies.

Not that I did much hunting or fishing. I just had too many things that insisted on interfereing with any plans I made.

But I did do some goose hunting, with limited success.

Then on October 16 winter arrived with a vengeance. We got two feet of snow over the next two days. Heavy wet snow that stuck to the roads and soon turned in to ice.

From the 16 of October to the end of January I had maybe six days I didn't work, and that's counting weekends and statutory holidays.

I didn't hunt Deer, I didn't need to. I did hunt Moose, for three days but only a couple of hours each day.
It was enough. I got my Moose, but it was late in the day and snowing hard.
I didn't have the luxury of time to spend taking photos. With the light the way it was, they wouldn't have been any good anyway.

In the end it was a good year. Hunting and fishing wise. I wished I could have spent a lot more time afield but the time I was able to get out was great even when I took home nothing, and I almost never take home nothing.
Mind you some days it's only Saggy Manes but this year there wasn't even any of them. We are presently mushroomless. A first for us.

But our freezers are nearly full, and I had a great time filling them.
What more could a man want?

The gator is pretty cool!
For 2012 I hunted antelope and mulies with bow. I had tag soup with the antelope and shot this md after a spot and stalk.

Thanks huntin fool! I was surprised as well. I really didn't know what he was until I walked up to him. I knew he was nice, but was pretty excited when I got my hands on him. For me, any legal bull is in trouble if he gives me the chance.

And my 2012 white tail. Took these deer two days apart (Saturday and Monday) after 3 weeks out of town working. Got to spend a total of 0 hours scouting. Then to boot I got a white tail doe the next evening I went out. I would rather be lucky then good some days!
