A 6.5 lb Pike takes the Crawling Valley Derby and 20lb+ is leading Badger. Looks like Iam fishing in the wrong pond.

Good Luck to all

Dont kid yourself, CV has some slammer pike. Shes a pretty good slough. Been seeing a heck of an illegal harvest for a long time, but if a guy went looking for them, you will find them.

WOW theres some good results. Any idea how thick the ice was?

Iam going to head out one more time at the deadline and now I have to add Badger to the list of potential locations.

Congrats to the winners

Never measured the ice but its thick enough for anything you want to drive on it. Including buses, semis, tanks etc. Close to 36" if I had to guess.

Just an update....post derby.
The ice was about 28-30 inches thick, the first day was slow for fish and i think that Saturday was where the winning fish was caught. I personally caught a 16 pd, 7 ounce on Friday morning at 10 am and i think by days end i was 5th. Come Saturday i was out of the money and the wind was blowing east and damn cold. I was in the north west corner of the lake. I believe that the guys next to me finished in the top five at the end of Sunday but i could be wrong. It was cold all weekend long and i would like to thank everyone that helped pulled that stupid guy with the white 2 wheel drive chev truck out of the drifts (ME). See ya all next year.
