Default Langdon Resevoir

For the first time ever, I've been seeing guys and trucks out on the ice on Langdon Resevoir ice fishing, and quite a few guys too. Every day theres at least 1 or 2 trucks there, and different trucks all the time too. I've heard that theres Pike in there, but the water level always seemed so low, I never bothered. Now all of a sudden everybodys fishing it, anybody know what the scoop is?

I've always known it as Langdon Resevoir. Its a DU project (I believe) just East of the Langdon turnoff (797) on the north side of 22x. About 26km from the city.

hi mike , haven't fished there for about 6 years now . used to fish off the burm on the east side at the outlet canal , its all fenced off now, no access. i believe ducks unlimeted is taking control of the wetlands there . we used to catch 3-4 lb. pike there . was great hardwater fishing also . stopped in there on my way to magregor last spring before the canal was flowing , just small pockets of water here and there . safe to take this one off your list . i did.

We use to Bow hunt pike there in the old days when one could do that. We never saw a fish over 5lb. They draw the water down so low at times that there just isn't that much habitat available. The lake is polluted with scuds though. Man that lake could grow giant trout if there wasn't any sharks there.
