Default 270 win Barnes tsx "boat tail"

Bought some 270 bullets to try out, and on the box it says 150 grain tsx bt, but when I opened the box they are a flat base bullet. Then checked the Barnes load data on the web and it says the 150's are only flat base. Did they just screw up the box?

Bulk printed label most likely.
I hope your rifle has a 1 in 9.5" twist rate too.
From my experience 1 in 10" twist bbl's don't do to well stabilizing those long 150 TSX's.
Good luck.

Yah that's what I was thinking when I bought them, I have a a interarms 270 win whitworth with a Mauser action I don't know what the twist would be on that. I looked on YouTube for some videos on how to figure out your rate of twist, seems super simple but I can't turn the cleaning rod properly to get a exact rate, different numbers every time .

How bout you shoot them and see first hand if they'll group.
For some reason my .308 loves the 175's but the twist is recommended for 168 and my 300 ultra mag shoots lights out with a tiny 155? Go figure? I'm not saying twist rates are not a great guideline. I have found that sometimes a bullet will work contrary to what you might think
