i grew up in the late 80's fishing steelhead, I saw double digit days on both the island and the interior of BC. To think of what has happened in the 30 years makes me sick, I don't want to discuss it and it pains me that my boy will never experience a week fishing spences bridge.
That said, this letter will achieve nothing, the sooner DFO can have steelhead out of the equation their jobs get dramatically easier with interactions of most of the place holders.
this is a shame as I feel one day I'll have to take my boy south to get a marginal glimpse of what we once enjoyed.
I salute BCWF for their attempts but this will fall on deaf ears.
