Default Subzero ice fishing shelter(ICE CUBE)

Has any one tried these tents. Are they hard to set up in wind. Do they stay relativly warm with a small heater. Was going to pick one up at C.T. Just wanted your opinions on them. I would prefer to get a sled style but there tough to find New.

I have one, they are easy to set up in the wind, peg down the one corner and it will not be going anywhere, then set up as normal. I have the Mr Heater and it keeps the tent nice and comfy.

Ayr.

Default Inline Filter

There is an inline filter that you can purchase from Mr. Heater. From what I have heard, if this is not installed you will eventually plug up your pilot assembly from the oil in the propane.

I have also heard that if you turn the propane off at the tank first before you turn off the heater this will iliminate the issue.

Oil in the propane? Doesn't seem right. Can anyone back that up? I've been using propane for 20 years and never heard of that. Kinda grosses me out thinking about all the burgers I've cooked over oily propane.

Default Ice Cube?

I bought a Sub-Zero 4 man at Cdn Tire this year - the instructions are on a piece of material sewn into the carry bag. At the bottom it says Eastman and gives the Eastman address... (?). Same factory in China maybe? Sub-zero simply the Canadian importer?

So far I think it's just fine - easy to set-up and take down although the stress on the needle holes from the stitching make me wonder how long it will last (I'll find out ha ha).

No problems in moderate winds with set-up or take down.

Holds the heat well (it's a tent though) and you sure can tell when the sun is out - the black picks up the solar power just fine!

Lightweight and easy to pack and transport ++++
