From 1 66 year old guy to another get a flip over. Picked up a used one and have not used my pop up since. Super easy and quickto setup.

Default advice

Thanks Gringo, i was hoping to be able to bring a friend along on my ice fishing adventures that is why i went with the 3 man Eskimo product. Went with a brand name product thinking it might be easier...

maybe try anchoring down a corner or two first, might help when popping out the sides

I setup my first ice fishing shelter a couple of weeks ago. After 50 years of ice fishing. Put my back out. It's not all fun and games.

Default Anchor advice

This is one of the best tips. I'm 59 years and still quite agile but it's so much easier popping these huts when I'm by myself because the anchor is like having a buddy holding the side opposite. It's also a great way to secure the hut from being taken away by the wind (happened just once to me and a buddy. First day of the ice fishing season this year and my buddy chased it over 2.5 kilometers).
