Default One from Above

My grandfather recently passed and was an avid fisherman. He taught lots of people how to tie flys, cast fly rods, and spent most of his retirement on the lake. Even in his 70’s he could outcast me while sitting down. My Dad and I went to his old mountain whitefish ice spot as a final farewell. Once In a while big bull trout cruise through the shallows looking for a meal and wouldn’t you know it we hooked into a once in a lifetime Bully on a micro whitefish hook. You never know what the world is gonna throw you next but we were pretty great full for this day.

Thumbs up

Sorry for your loss but looks like his legacy will live on

I am now using fishing gear passed down, funny how it brings back memories and a lot of stories of trips etc.

That is a really nice fish bet it was a battle.

Thanks Guys! There was a lot of chaos in the tent and it was a battle with only light line and a small rod!
