Likely because a steering wheel isn't an option on the Camaro, comes stock.
That being said, I'm more a GT350 guy though.

I'll take a GM over any Mopar product all day long. Even Dodge says the Demon is just for "straight line" performance
Might have something to do with the massive weight.
Still a nice car though but I'll take this or a handful of other cars before any Slowpar.
I'll take this one..

Do you mean Hennessey modifies some sweet cars?
Demon was never made to do anything but straight line performance.
Hennessey does a 1000hp Challenger too.

And I'd take a Porsche Cayman GTS, (or a 911 4 GTS if I was really wealthy), any day over any domestic built muscle car. Each to their own, right?

I'll keep my F-150
I can carry more than a set of golf clubs
I can drive it year round
A tuned rice burner won't embarrass me off the line
I can use regular fuel
If I scratch it off roading I don't cry
Repair bills won't put me in the poor house
She knows I'm not rich and that's not the reason she sleeps with me
Divorce proof
Each to his own I guess

Watched the vids in the link. The last one was titled 'Launch' and was a whole lotta rah rah. At 3:28 the speaker tweeked my memory when he said
".... the Demon's starting to settle in now. 5.1 seconds and you're passing 100mph. At this point something incredible happens; you hit the vanishing point ....... "
Not sure if it was intentional, but I would think that Dodge knows the history of their cars and they made a subtle tip of the cap to the 1970 Challenger.

Hopefully, they weren't referring to this one.

Being able to own a nice car doesn't preclude one from driving something else, you realize that right? For instance, my work vehicle (I still work as a tradesman) is an E250 stretch cargo. It'll carry even more than an F150.
Repair bills on my car won't put me in the poor house, as I can afford to own and repair it (if it ever needs it) without hurting my financial position.
My wife know's I'm not rich, but I am well off, and she has been sleeping beside me for over 25 years.
What you drive or don't drive won't make you divorce proof. Who you married, who you are, and how you work at your marriage is the only thing you can control, and even that won't make you divorce proof.
Each to his own for sure though. Doing well enough to own a nice car, that you worked hard to own, doesn't actually pigeon hole a person into some stereotype. Anymore than driving a jacked up Dodge automatically makes you a douche bag.
Although......

I'm thinking another corvette convertible may be in the garage soon. Hard to not live the c7 lines. By far the most comfortable of all the domestic 'supercars'.

They look great, and as you say the best domestic Sports car built by far.

And that's were you lost me. Pretty sure there are exactly zero people on this forum who would take the 'Vette over this, which by the way, is the best domestic sports car built by far!

Take one for a drive Ken. My cousin has one and it's a sweet car but I'd never buy it. Unless the the drivers seat has tons more room, big guys like you and I are cramped. I haven't been in the pilots chair but the copilot's chair is very tight. I'll take my hellcat for comfort alone.

Glad someone said it. I've been trying my best to behave this summer, and go into hunting season with a smile on my face and good Karma in the bank.

1) Hellcat/Demon=muscle car
2) Corvette/Porche=sports car
3) Gt/Bugatti=supercar
This thread is all over the place, comparing a Demon to a GT is ridiculous, it's like comparing a Cat 797 to a ten speed "but if Lance Armstrong on steroids was riding a ten speed he'd beat the 797". Bottom line, the Demon is a beast, and to clear something up, those pizza cutter tires are not for handling, they are for straight lines! Some people like NASCAR, some like Indy, some like NHRA, all completely different animals.

Exactly, even to compare the demon to the hellcat is idiotic. Both cars intended for something totally different.
