Default Condition of Fawcett Lake?

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what the condition of Fawcett was, I have tags to fill but i hate when the water gets too green. I havent been to this lake in a few years, anyone been there in the past week or so?
Thanks,

Not sure about Fawcett but Calling went green last year and it sure didn't stop the fish from biting. If you have tags and want to use them I'd recommend you go and not worry about the color of the water......unless you were planning on swimming too.........then it's a concern.

Default Calling, Green algae, and Rock Island River

In mid August we had a couple weeks of heat and Calling went about as Green as I ever seen it.

Funny thing is that over on the northwest corner where the Rock Island River runs in for about 1.5 miles there was tea coloured clear water!!!!

Tubing up by Rock Island River, and fishing, was very good.

The river runs for miles through muskeg picking up acid ph water, which knocks back the algae.

This year the water is very high, and has remained clear as of last weekend.

As for Fawcett, its creeks and rivers should be flowing well right now, so if you are concerned about algae, try where the inflow is, as it also has muskeg based water.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I’m not worried about the fish biting, I just hate having my boat turn green and find it gross eating fish when the lake is green. Yes I know there is likely nothing wrong with the meat.
Thanks again,
