Nice pictures, beauty Ling Cod. The are the best tasting fish IMO, try deep frying some with Fish Crisp Beer Batter, food for the gods

I have been very lucky, every time I have gone 5 times so far it's been beautiful and relatively calm waters. Last trip two of caught 26 salmon and 35 halibut in one day. Going back next year for sure!

I wish Typically every hunting or fishing trip I go on I can expect either rain, snow or freezing cold but that stuff has never stopped me from having a good time.

Thanks for posting this, I'm just starting to plan a trip out that way for early/mid September, and this is a great recommendation!
Do they supply the rain gear?
I don't see any mention of a B&B operation on the Deep Spring Charters website. What's the name of it?
Thanks!

They have their main floor set up has 2 beds living room and bathroom off to the side. They don't supply rain gear I'm not sure if any Charter would supply rain gear.

That's wicked I think I might book July 14-16 next year then the Coho will be in the area. I could only imagine the fishing when the seas is not as rough we weren't able to get to his Fav spots. But we managed to make it work for a few salmon rookies.

Looks like you had yourself some fun! That is a fine string of halis! How many ling did you end up with and how much time spent targeting the ling to get them? I'd really like to know a guy or two up at Rupert that is really good at getting ling.
Happy fish eatin' !!!

Stephen Hardie is a LING Killer unfortunately the Seas were to extreme to get to his honey hole we did end up only getting 2 Ling. But the 90lbs of Halibut meat from 3 fish will make up for that

You are going to be extremely happy when you get out there, weather permitting. On guided trips it's hit or miss.
Let's hope you are luckier with the weather on your next trip! IMO Prince Rupert offers the best fishing south of Alaska, it's a beautiful thing is it not?
Have you eaten some of your cod yet?
