Default Best Knot

What are peoples favorite knots to tie when fishing? Whether line to line or line to leader or directly to hook.

Myself i like the improved albright for braid to fluoro and the improved cinch or palomar for tying on a swivel or going direct to hook.

Any other strong knots that anyone uses?

Mono/Flouro line to lure/swivel "Trileene knot" Tested the best on Knot Wars.

The strongest all around knot for line to lure/swivel was the "Homer Circle" knot. I can attest that it is a BOMBER KNOT! Never ever had this knot fail and with a slight mod it makes one of the strongest loop knots out there.

For Heavy Flouro I use the Canoe man knot

Uni knot is also a very good all round knot which has many uses. ie can be use for line to lure as well as snelling hooks and even making stopper knots for slip boobers. Uni to Uni makes a good braid to flouro connecting knot (though not as good as the modified Albright but is easier to tie in bad conditions.

The Bob Foran knot is also good for connecting braid to flouro and leaves you with a dropper loop if you want.

I use an improved clinch most times. Unless I'm fishing chronimids then I use a loop knot. If I'm tying floro to mono or just adding tippet to a leader I use a tripple surgeon's knot.

Here is a link to animated knots. It doesn't give you every knot out there. But most of them.
