Default May Long Lake Trout, weight?

Well its been a fortunate season so far and have been able to land some nice fish. This was the biggest of the Lakers we were able to catch over May long weekend in Saskatchewan. My scale broke the day before so we couldn't get a weight, any guesses?

Caught in about 80 ft of water and was a pretty exciting battle for so early in the season. My PB lake trout.

Beauty fish! Based on the second pic I was going to guess 15-20 lbs but maybe I'm off and it's 25 pounds lol hard to tell.

Default About 15lb

My guess based on the 12lb I caught last year. Yours is a little deeper in the belly.

Did you get a length?

This girl was 12 lbs and although it is tough to compare the pictures they look pretty close to me. My guess is 10-15 lb range.

I wish I had at least gotten a length! She was a big girl though and putting my finger under her chin to hold her up was like sticking it in an ice box - unbelievably cold. I was thinking she was in the 17-20 lb range but frankly have no idea. Would love to have broken 20 lbs and been able to confirm it.

Moral of the story? Bring a spare battery for your scale

Buety Laker ... congrats ...

The art of the picture is everything .......

(I realize all of the pictures are of the same fish) ....

The angle on the first picture makes it look like it's 116lbs and could eat a small child

The last picture makes the laker look like it's 4lbs

Lay the big girl on (next to) a tape measure ..... how the picture taken makes it extremely difficult to gauge.

Had you not included the last two pictures everyone would be screaming 25 lbs !!!!!

I'd venture a wild guesstimate at 17lbs or so. (give or take 80%)
