Default Sponsors??

I am looking to obtain some sponsors, Because my fishing and tournament costs are well sucking the wallet dry.

Would you guys have any tips on where start looking for potential sponsors?

Tough game, I did it professionally for 6 years in the US on the NAWA and PWT.
The first thing you have to learn is not to give the milk away for free. So many wannabees cover their shirt, boat and truck with sticker for a hand full of product or just to look cool. The golden rule is "can I take it to Safeway and buy bread with it?" If you can't then you are not being sponsored. Also remember that the first deal you make you've set your price, do it for a box of cranks and you'll never see folding money from them, it just doesn't work that way.
What you are doing for them in return for their investment in you is a whole nother story and i hate to tell you how well you fish and what you do on the water is pretty much meaningless when it comes to getting sponsored.
Good Luck!

Ya, 209 has it right. I played that game too and it all comes down to what value you can offer your sponsor. How many potential customers can you expose his product or business to? What means of exposure do you have? At one time you could get a cheque for throwing a decal on your shirt and boat but from what I've seen, those days are gone. Put together a sound business plan for potential sponsors and show how you can offer quality exposure for their investment and they'll look at you. Good luck!

Default X3 on 209 and sheep

Western canada is a tough market , tried it years ago , had Lund

Lowrance , merc , Lindy , bomber , and a few others and still couldnt

buy groceries , had a good time but but bad bank deposits ...

One of the problems here is poor vehicles ( and costly ) to

create a consumer market and household name ....exposure is tough

to get ....My .04 cents
