Default Muir Lake partial winterkill

Just returned from Muir lake. Saw several dead fish along the shore. Did not catch anything and saw one fish rise. Also, I saw the carcass of a large goldfish up on the shore- I hope these are not being put into the lake. Tough winter.

Was out on Thursday/Friday as well.

Thursday: 4 bows to 16", 3 on a chironomid.
Friday: one hit pony, nice 18" brown on minnow pattern. No bows.

Saw some dead fish on the east shore.

I was there on Thursday. Only saw 2 dead fish personally which could have been poor handling by previous people etc. Caught a brown and rainbow.

I’ve also witnessed on a few occasions ospreys hitting fish, only for it to be unable to lift it out of the water
