Thanks Russ, I'm unfortunately going to miss it this year, but I'll take it out on some Quebec Ptarmigan instead.

Heading up for Caribou with Explo-Sylva. Bringing along some Judo poiints for Ptarmigan. And the fly rod for Atlantic Salmon, Brookies, and Lakers. I'm also told that there is Arctic Char. I sure hope so where as I've always wanted to catch one. As for the ptarmigan, I really dont want to ground pound them, but with a compound I dont have too many choices. If I take the shot gun, i will be way over the 60 pd weight limit. And my buddies 7mm maybe a little much for the ptarmigan.

Hunted all day on the first day. It was slow. Very hot. 1 Ruffed Grouse is all we got. There certainly wasn't a ton of shooting going on.
