Default trail camera flash?

hey everyone, i just bought my first trail camera and it has a flash on it. i have had it out in the field for about a week now and got lots of pictures but i turned flash off because i thought it might spook the animals.? does anyone know if this is true i have the camera in fields which i plan on hunting shortly and i dont want to risk spookin the deer out of these feilds.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

The flash won't spook the deer. My cousin has had them come and investigate the flash on his trail cam.

Nope...

I have pics of the same animals day after day,same time and the flash going and they dont care...

I find that the flash makes them look at the camera and move toward it. They are inquisitive and come right upto it and sniff around it. Lots of pics of ears and noses.

Nope. I have dozens of pictures of the same deer using the same trails day after day without being scared of the flash. I have white flash and IR cameras and prefer the color photos from the white flash cameras. Now if I could just keep the bears from messing with them. My moutrie IR was knocked around again this week from a juvenile blackie.

Only reason why I dont like the flash and chose infrared is because of other people wandering around in the area where I hunt - it gets a bit of hiking traffic, so I was afraid that the flash may draw attention to my camera and someone may vandalize or take it.

k awesome! thanks guys im going to go out tomorrow and turn my flash on. hopefully it pays off. ill post some pics if i get any worthy of some attention.
