Default Out Shopping

Was out the other day (finally come out of my non contagious hole) and noticed only a handful of people wearing masks. I think we are on the upswing of this fear mongering. As I walked by a few I just kinda mentioned not just under my breath so much that I was glad to see that the infected were responsible enough to wear a mask so we as being some what still the real normal can be safe. Just me being me. Nothing normal about what they want to call the new normal.

One thing I've learned from this time is more people should keep their thoughts to themselves in public about how others act. Sure a lot of that going around lately....

Yep. Just you being you.

Betting you wouldn't say a word to a large man wearing a mask.

Wearing a thong upside down and backwards on your head could act as a mask.

Nope I crawl no where and yes I will say it whenever and where ever. I am not gonna play that game. I do not sneeze or cough into the open air as most do cause they don't care sick or not. I carry sanitizer in my pocket everywhere I go and use it after touching all the things you might have touched. You wear your mask. Don't judge me for what I say. Are you that insecure from a comment you might hear? You probably drive around in your own vehicle by yourself with a mask on. Tell me your not the one contaminated then. You probably think if someone in the vehicle in front of you sneezes out the window and you have yours open you will catch something. Go ahead and live in your bubbles. I will keep my distance. I love the outdoors and will continue to do so.

I was also confused by your first post. Your last one clarifies things: you think wearing a mask is ridiculous and prefer to social distance instead.

That’s fine with me. I prefer to keep my distance as well as wear a mask while at work and in public places. Like you, I am using frequent hand washing and sanitizer when I feel it is appropriate.

What I do not understand is why you think we need to be at odds with one another.

Never said wearing a mask was ridiculous. Was referring to lets get back to normal and stop with the fear of we are all going to die if we don't wear one. People have been known to walk around and talk and others can hear but they are not pointing or looking. The others who hear point and look cause someone talks to themselves and they judge. I think what I want, I say a lot of what I want and try to do most of what I want. I did not say or tell anyone not to wear a mask. You do what you want and how you want and when you want.
As has been mentioned on here before so many criticize what others have to say. Most are the minions and the others are the GODS of Mount Olympus

Oh my, after reading what you say, all I can tell is, that you walk down the streets just talking at people and telling them your views. And then they just pass you by thinking hmmm what????

Default Out shopping

Doesn’t matter to me what others do. Couldn’t care less, but people who make comments to other just doing their thing...? I wonder if they would still make comments when someone in their family ended up in intensive care on a ventilator. If it makes someone feel safe or better to wear a mask, so what?

Never said I directed my comments or views at or towards anyone. You did. Mentioned not just under my breath what I said. Never did say they heard me did I? So what's all the hubbub about. Gotta love getting crucified over this.

Let me take a moment to explain to you why I wear a mask in public spaces. I promise it will be quick, sorry it’s not in crayon.

Given that this virus has an incubation time averaging 6 days before symptoms start and that a percentage of people will never show symptoms at all it’s possible that any of us might be walking around spreading it unknowingly. I would rather wear that annoying stupid mask around than be the reason somebody else gets sick. It’s that simple.

Now if you don’t see it that way then that’s up to you, make a choice you can live with. However if I am wearing my mask and somebody like yourself refers to me using that term above you’re gonna spend the next few days googling “how long will it take me to pass a cloth mask through my digestive system”. Although I have to say that years of experience have shown me people such as yourself tend to pick little girls to yell at rather than 300lb rugby players. Ruins ALL my damn fun.

I had a guy bitch at me for not wearing one the other day! I just looked at him and smiled, and said you treat COVID your way and I'll treat it my way. Yet this same guy with the mask was fondling all of the apples in the display and not wearing gloves, when I pointed this out he turned and walked away only to fondle oranges!

The vast majority of shoppers that I see, are not wearing masks. I really don't care whether they wear masks or not , I try to maintain social distancing. Then again, it seems so stupid to see all of those thousands of idiots standing shoulder to shoulder protesting, while the rest of us make an effort to maintain social distancing. And then we see the idiots like Tam and Trudeau not condemning the protests, or making any effort to stop it, yet still telling us how important social distancing is. I guess we will soon see how important social distancing is, when we see if there is a huge spike in covid cases, as a result of the protests.

I deleted the totally unacceptable insult at the end of your post.

The reason that the health authorities are asking people to wear masks is to reduce the spread of the virus by individuals who have it but do not have symptoms, for whatever reason. It doesn't seem like too much to ask for help protect vulnerable people.

I do my best to maintain 2 m distance, even though there are lots of people that make it difficult. I don't know why they don't care about my health or theirs when the distancing would be so easy.

As far as masks go, even though I try to wash or sanitize my hands often, I like the reassurance that asymptomatic individuals are not depositing viruses on surfaces or objects that I am going to touch.

I certainly agree that it is the height of hypocrisy for our leaders to tell us to distance and restrict the size of groups, and then not criticize protesters for violating the various guidelines. I think it shows that some things may not be criticized, or even scrutinized, in our current political climate. Is free speech dead, Stockwell Day?

I think that the insult that you used at the end of your original post shows what kind of a person that you are. You certainly did insult a number of people directly and indirectly here. Neither the insult you bleeped nor the one you left in have any place on this forum.
