Reports say China funded 11 Canadian political candidates in the last Federal election
But the government is not releasing which Candidates.
I don’t care which party they belong to. If anyone in their election campaign knew then it’s illegal and the person should lose there position and another by-election held.

What happened with Liberal promise of government transparency?

They’re not releasing the names because they’re liberals. Finance princess is likely one of those on the list. Maybe Billy is too.
Now if conservatives were n the list they’d be wanting a full review and accountability.
You als can be sure they’re not federal NDP. The Chinese couldn’t care less about the federally NDP.

Exactly!, If there were no liberals involved, every media source would have released the names, and this would be in the news every hour.

Question being, were they knowingly funded by the Chinese, or was the money laundered thoroughly before the got it ?

You can rest assured that money was thoroughly laundered before it landed in Canadian hands. Even so, they know exactly where it came from and what is expected of them.
Every single one of the public officials involved should be named and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

And yet Trudeau gets caught up in his usual 2-faced controversy on this matter. Another foreign trip debacle.
World news today that Chinese Xi JinPing berated Trudeau at the G20 for being unprofessional and leaking private conversations to the press. Trudeau responded with a very weak string of platitudes about Canadians "having free and open and frank dialog". Xi was obviously angered at Trudeau's accusations on the Chinese funding Canadian election candidates.
He sure doesn't have those same free and open conversations with us Canadians though. Now you have defended your openness Trudeau, release the names!
What another absolutely hypocritical FAIL by the petulant child.

Thankfully this issue is starting to see the light of day. It's been going on for decades, mostly in BC, but due to being labeled a racist it's never been talked about openly. That seems to have changed recently.

No surprises as corruption runs amuck in politics, religion heck anything that mankind touches for that matter.
If you think there’s is a perfect entity within our societies well your fooling yourself big time.
That is why nothing surprises me just kinda expect it.

Take this with a grain of salt given the source - but if this is true, then…. Wow.
https://capforcanada.com/chinese-pol...s-says-report/
Quote:
As published this week by The Telegraph in the U.K., a Quebec charity suspected of hosting two secret Chinese overseas police stations has received $4.45 million from Canada’s Liberal government over the past three years.
According to “Special Rapporteur” David Johnson— former member of the Trudeau Foundation and long-term Trudeau family friend — a public inquiry “is unnecessary because much of it would have to be held in private due to top-secret information.“
CAP has little doubt regarding the “top secret” element of the investigation. Our 35-years as a Liberal Party-Chinese Government watchdog organization concludes that top secret information has been controlling Liberal Party politics for the past half-century.

Who is going to lay charges, and how do you keep the liberals from ha ing the evidence made inadmissible in a courtroom?

Interesting Article
in the Globe and Mail on Johnston's review and report. Report was being translated into french before the interviews were complete and he did not interview the relevent people who were screening the information from CCIS.
What is the correct spelling for whitewash?

Another rather cutting view of the "special rapporteur's" report.
You could fill a newspaper’s obituary page with all the institutions Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have marred, stomped over like defiant toddlers in the throes of a tantrum and ultimately dealt crippling blows it will take years to recover from, if ever.
The latest: governors general, and the once bipartisanly esteemed David Johnston. The special rapporteur could’ve easily retired in relative peace, but instead Trudeau recruited him back to public life to serve as what very much looks like his puppet.

Johnston resigns
Most would say it’s about time
Now the pressure is on Trudeau to call a public inquiry.
